Another way to serve

Work parties from other states are calling the Presbytery of East Tennessee, looking for a place to stay overnight on their way to Katrina relief work areas. If your church is convenient to the interstate and you are willing to let these groups spend the night, please contact the presbytery office (office@presbyteryeasttn.org or 865-688-5581 or 800-542-4246). We will keep a listof willing hosts. When a call comes in, we will give them the contact information for several willing host churches and ask them to contact you directly to make arrangements. Most groups are asking just for a "floor" to roll out sleeping bags. If you have other amenities to offer (showers, kitchen, cots, etc.) let us know.
